Not very long after the first match, the highly motivated team, K-Gunners, organized another match which kicked off at 3:00PM last Thursday, 12th January 2012. It was a match against Startrek, a team which consists mostly of AEs of 2011 who are currently waiting for their A-Level results. This match was refereed by Faiz Afif who did a splendid job throughout the match.
The Captain of K-Gunners, Abdul Hadi Abdullah rocked the boat after opening the first goal followed by another two by Izwan Roseland and Ahmad Rusydan Hamdan not very long after. Izwan Roseland managed to squeeze another goal just before half time to mark down the fourth goal for K-Gunners.
In the second half of the game, Startrek stepped up their game which made the match more of a nail biter. Startrek had a possibility of winning in the second half as a player of the respected team scored once, but, unfortunately they didn't have enough time to turn the table. Ahmad Rusydan Hamdan added another one to the scoreboard. The match then was locked down to 5-1 until full time.
It was a splendid day for K-Gunners and both Izwan and Ahmad who both performed outstandingly and 1 goal away from achieving hat-trick. In addition to that, K-Gunners's goal keeper wasn't able to make the match. A last minute decision was made, where he was replaced by Nasir Hassan.
This is the second victory by a long shot for K-Gunners.. Looks like they're well prepared and in solid shape for this upcoming K-League which will start tentatively this April. Look forward to it!
