Great Start For The Juniors

By Waddud Yussop.

Monday, 2nd April 2012, was the the first day of K-league 2012. We have altogether 9 teams competing in this league. The first match that was held was a match between K-Knights FC and Batis United.

The match kicked off to a start at around 2:30PM. Both team started the match competitively as they each exchanged strong attacks towards their opposing team. Although the players of K-Knights were at pressure for making their first appearance in the K-League, they did a good job in coping well enough with the pressure. Eventually, Md Aleiyuddin of K-Knights took advantage of the miscommunication between Batis's defenders and slot pass the goal keeper easily and brought a goal to his team leaving a score of 1-0. After their first goal, K-Knights still stayed strong and continued their attacks but failed to hit the target after numerous tries. The first half of the match came to an end with a score of 1-0 with K-Knights taking the lead.

The second half of the match got to a start at around 3:15PM. This time, Batis players tried to equalise the score. They created plenty of chances to score a goal but with their striker failed to take the pass. The game soon heated up as Batis player, Ali Yusri was given a first yellow card of this league after Amirul Ya'iisyuddin of K-Knights received a hard tackle from him. The game continued on and the score stayed 1-0 until the final whistle was blown. It was definitely a good day for K-Knights FC's players but Batis United surely won't let this one match bring them down!
