Registration for exams results via SMS starts Feb 1

THE Ministry of Education (MoE) will be releasing the examination results for November 2011 IGCSE, B-C GCE 'O', 'AS', & 'A' level through Short Messaging Service (SMS).

Subscribers (students and parents) who wishes to subscribe to the services are required to register online through the ministry's web portal at www.moe.edu.bn and e-Darussalam at www.gov.bn

Registration can also be made through mobile phones via SMS by keying in the the following text: MOE REG [CENTRE CODE] [CANDIDATE NUMBER] [IC No] and send to 8885555 for DST subscribers or 38666 for B-Mobile subscribers.

Subscribers can register for the services starting Wednesday, February 1, 2012, a press statement from the ministry said yesterday. It also said that no charges would be applied for registration through the Ministry of Education's web portal or mobile phones.


The Ministry of Education is providing the service in collaboration with DST Communications Sdn Bhd (DST), B-Mobile Communication Sdn Bhd (B-Mobile) and Mach Telecommunications Systems Sdn Bhd (MachTel).

The ministry also informed the public that the examination results will only be sent to subscribers via SMS upon approval from the Department of Examinations. Subscribers will be charged $3 for each SMS result received.

With this service, the ministry hopes that it will benefit the members of the public especially parents and the stakeholders in general, the statement read.
